It is a known fact that young star Prithviraj is going through the best of the times in his career not even in Malayalam, but also in Tamil. Even amidst his increased popularity, one film that he has completed long back was finding it harder to reach the audience, due to fewer takers.

The problem with the movies release was that,'Thalappavu' directed by actor Madhupal, met with a propaganda, which labeled it as an off beat movie. This label is quite a scoffing one which usually keep away people from theatres, as far as the recent releases are concerned.

The movie based on real incidents was neither planned as an offbeat venture, nor realized as one. Scripted by Babu Janardhanan, its story is inspired from the Varghese shoot out that happened in Kerala during the days of Naxalites.

With Lal in an equally important character, the movie is said to pose some interesting questions to the society, which believes in everything that the media present before them.

But now, it seems that the ill fate of this movie is over. Ace distribution firm of Malayalam, Lal Creations had agreed to take the distribution of ‘Thalappavu’.

According to the latest plans, this hard hitting movie is all set to make a release by the end of June.
